I don't have any serious hobbies but I like to draw some, play computer games, read good books (no patience for books I don't get into), watch movies & certain TV shows (Netflix is awesome). I like doing things with another person like going to local events and concerts. If I'm with the right person it makes anything fun, and other things more fun. I like playing games and sports: board games, card games, drinking games, basketball, football, frisbee, etc. Stuff like that always seems more fun to me than just sitting and talking to a group of people for hours on end, and there is always good conversation surrounding the activity.
My ultimate goal is to be happy. I'm not terribly unhappy now, but there is a lot of room for improvement :P. To accomplish this goal I intend to make a good living while balancing work with the rest of my life. I want to have a job I enjoy (my current one isn't bad). I want to keep and meet good friends and hang out with them often. I plan on having a positive and healthy family life which includes my children, immediate family and more distant family (family gatherings are usually fun and very heartwarming). Finally, happiness for me hinges on the relationship with my lady (girlfriend, wife, whatever she may be). She should be someone I look forward to seeing every day, someone I want to spend most of my free time with. A woman who is intelligent, has a similar sense of humor to my own, and is positive. Spouses should be trusted partners/teammates in life.
I am a good hearted man that finds humor in many situations. I am very open-minded - this is necessary to have a fulfilling life! I like to laugh about funny as well as serious things, because life is too short to get dragged too far down with negativity. My sense of humor ranges from sophisticated to very silly and childlike. Smiling and laughing are the best things in life. I love making other people smile and laugh too. I enjoy talking about things like science, technology, politics, music, life and all sorts of other topics. Its nice to be able to have in depth, intelligent conversations with someone. Really I'll talk about anything that someone wants to talk about. I believe that I am very unique, but doesn't everyone think that about themselves? :P. I'm intelligent, easygoing, and friendly. I am a very giving person and I like to make other people happy and have them make me happy back. Life is best that way.
My taste in music is very wide ranging. The only genre's I have trouble enjoying (there are exceptions for particular songs/bands of course) are modern country music and scream metal. Some of my favorite bands/musicians are Pink Floyd, Tool, The Killers, The Shins, Jack Johnson, NIN, Pantera, Ben Harper, The Beatles, Bod Dylan, Buckethead, Coldplay, Radiohead, Eminem, Outkast, Modest Mouse, Mudvayne, Primus, Les Claypool, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Roots, Van Morrison, The Band, The Crystal Method, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Seldom Scene, and King Crimson. I really like going to concerts, but I haven't seen many big name shows (I want to see a lot more). Local music is fun to see too.

I'm really open to whatever on the first date. Dinner and/or having some drinks is always nice, so that there is some time to get to talk and get to know the person.
