I'm a perfectionist who's learning how to live with myself not being perfect. I've made some bad relationship choices in the past, and I want to get it right this time.

I am a composer/musician/piano teacher, and have a passion for music. I'm not a workaholic, but I CAN get on a roll and work for hours straight with no breaks, forgetting to eat, etc.

I'm learning how to slow down and enjoy the beauty all around. I love taking pictures, and can find interesting subject matter just about anywhere. I'm also fascinated by interesting sounds and noises, and love experimenting with them musically.

I have lived all over the place: California, Wisconsin, Arizona, Canada, Seattle, New Orleans, and several places in Idaho. I've also been to several states playing music, including Wyoming, Oregon, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Florida and Connecticut. I love traveling and experiencing new places. I hope one of these days to get to Australia, Machu Picchu (Peru), Petra (Jordan) and Venice.

I was raised in a conservative Christian home by missionary parents. I spent several years as a church music director and performing artist, until I became disillusioned and sometimes disgusted by organized religion. I still consider myself a Christian, although I have not attended church for about 4 years, and I enjoy exploring different religious worldviews, especially A Course in Miracles, Kabbalah, and Buddhism.

I don't expect perfection from you (just myself :), but I DO expect honesty, loyalty and most of all KINDNESS. (I'm hard enough on myself without someone else heaping it on).

I'd like to meet someone with true intelligence. Someone who is able to think for themselves, have intellectually honest conversations, and is willing to disagree without fighting about it.

I need someone who appreciates good music of any kind. It would also help if they were familiar with classical styles of choral and band music.

I like to be adventurous and spontaneous. I also love a good plan, but I'm not too upset if the plan is interrupted by a good rabbit trail (or rabbit hole). I appreciate a woman who enjoys surprises, and trusts me enough to know that if I say "Come on, I've got a surprise for you" and don't tell her anything else, that she will most likely enjoy it.

I'm looking for someone who will APPRECIATE what I do and who I am. I don't mind learning and growing and changing, but I don't need someone who sees me as someone they can work on and fix up.

I'm up for pretty much anything as long as communication is possible. Coffee is always good.
