I am a down home Southern girl living in the NNJ/NYC area. I am an aspiring Opera-Singer, but I can sing most other genres. I love to read and try new things. I have a great personality and wonderful sense of humor. I am open-minded and allergic to ignorance! I'm very open in my dating and I have never let a person's racial background keep me from developing a relationship. I've dated the rainbow, so I'm very comfortable with that, plus I come from a very diverse family. I would hope whom ever I end up meeting will be the same and know that I am so not interested in being anyone's "black girl" experience. Remember I'm highly allergic to ignorance :).

I am a very spontaneous person and always looking for new adventures. At the same time I can be a complete paradox in of myself. For example I absolutely love spontaneity, yet I like things to be in order and controlled??? I have a great sense of humor which sometimes can be sarcastic and facetious in nature, but never mean spirited or for the purpose of causing ill will. I'm a wee bit, (actually alot-a-bit), competitive. I get it honestly! : )

I suffer from foot in mouth syndrome, but I personally think it gives me character. My favorite joke in the entire world is "You can lead a mule to water, but you can't lead a horticulture." People think I'm lame for this, but they usually end up laughing anyways.

I've been told I am funny, but it's all natural and not contrived. I will admit that I am nerd at heart! I love words and try to learn and use a new word everyday. I swear by the thesaurus and the dictionary. I would have to say my favorite word is "quixotic."

I love to travel, read,(think i said that), cook, and just being creative period.

I really have no time for ignorance. I am very open-minded and I do play devils advocate alot; even if I disagree with the view point. My view is that each person has a valid point and I just believe in free speech and free thought. No one should be censored, even if your views are ridiculous. That's why we have free will!
I have my degree in English so I would be more than re-missed if I didn't mention a few of my favorite books. I love to read and here are some of my top favorites, not in order of importance: Infidel, anything and everything by Shakespeare, anything and everything by Robert Frost,(he's my favorite poet), Diary of an Ex-Coloured man, Their Eye's were watching God;Zora Neale Hurston period!, The Dharma Bums, On The Road, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Color Purple, The Coldest Winter Ever, The Bible,(both for spiritual guidance and for the story telling...it's a great read even if your not a Believer!); actually, the list could go on, but this is a start!...I am SO open to suggestions and love being introduced to new authors. So if you know any, feel free to shoot them my way!!

I love all types of music as long it can make me dance and/or invoke some emotion I'm good!
