I do try to be active, but that really just creates balance because work is so often at a desk. Here's a few things I do: Soccer, Sand Vball, Running, Downhill Skiing, Kayaking, Camping, some travel- tho I haven't been out of the US much, And Backpacking- it is really just camping in more secluded places, so you have to carry your stuff in. You just don't get to sleep on minty ferns unless you trek a little.
I'm up for trying new things- that's one of the benefits of meeting new people! A complement to my rusty spanish skills would make a good travel partner. French? If we are a good fit then every time we head out will feel like a vacation, even when just to trader joes, rei, or that small eatery before the corner.
Of course, I do like movies at home or some bryson book with popcorn and a glass of red wine too.

My favorite "jackin up" workout song is Cochise by Audioslave. If you get it, you get it. Someday, I'll sing "Mata Anima del Sola" Cantus style with 5 or more others in a European country as the sun rises. Mimosas will follow. |
