For fun, I enjoy singing. I also love going to museums, plays, and concerts; almost anything live. I also enjoy movies especially comedies, dramas and love stories. I enjoy sports like the Olympics, Super Bowl, etc., and any live event but not baseball.

My job is Supervisor in Order Management for a humanitarian service association.

My ethnic background is second generation American. My paternal grandparents were from Belgium, my maternal grandparents were from Ireland. I've been to Ireland and loved it. Belgium is still on my list of places to see, and the list is very long.

My religion is Roman Catholic since birth, Episcopalian since June of 2002.

I am educated and have an M. S. in Library Science. I was an archivist for several years and I promoted into my current job five years ago.

For vacations I like going north. I love the oceans, mountains, and having four seasons. New England is a favorite and Michigan's Upper Peninsula is gorgeous! I like camping with home comforts like a cabin and a shower, I'm not much for tents.

My long time hobby is genealogy. On television I like history shows as well as crime dramas. As far as food goes, I like Italian the best, and I'm a pretty good cook if I do say so myself.

I'm in the midst of losing weight so I've been reading style and health magazines mostly. Recent books read are Chasing the devil by D. Reichert; The book of night women by M. James; The fountainhead by A. Rand; and A death in Belmont by S. Junger.

I have two cats; Seymour and Mariah. I love dogs but don't have any. Also, I'm ornithophobic due to an unfortunate chicken incident as a child.

I'm a wonderful woman who is loving and kind. I enjoy quiet evenings at home as well as events to get all dressed up for. Live concerts and plays are my very favorites.
I enjoy antique stores, flea markets, yard sales etc., but hate shopping (groceries, clothes, etc.) I can spend all day in a book store, coffee shop or library.
I love to get on the road and go for a drive! There's lots of interesting places in the Midwest and day trips are great. I'm not sports inclined but I wouldn't mind learning. I can't like watching baseball, but I'd be happy to join in a game of softball, volleyball, whatever. I like playing board games like Trivia Pursuit, Scrabble and cards (do only large families like these pastimes I wonder?). I haven't been on a motorcycle in years but I'd love to.
My large family, great friends and small church are important to me, and I spend time caring for and about them.

The gentleman that I'm looking for is attractive, kind and loving. He can make me laugh, and I love to laugh! I can make him laugh. He is open minded about almost everything. He is well educated and has a strong spiritual understanding. He finishes what he starts. I couldn't care less about possessions, so he wouldn't try to impress me with his income. Conversation is relaxed and we could discuss anything and everything. He has more than two emotions. He is creative and enjoys music. If he plays piano, all the better. His kisses are sentences, not punctuation.

First dates should be getting to know you, so meeting at a coffee joint or quiet diner, then maybe a walk in a nearby park or at the lake. Somewhere casual and quiet so we can talk.
