my job:

Inventory Management for a local defense contractor. I process shipping and receiving as well as orders for my co.'s tracked vehicle assembly lines. My military service as a Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic is what lead to my employment on a Bradley vehicle assembly line.

I like to check out new music on XPN, mainly indie-rock. I like Ida Maria, The Killers, Phoenix, The Housemartins (older 80's stuff). Generally, I like to veer away from mainstream radio because I get tired of hearing the same old thing. I do get the occasional hankerin' for a little country, some days I need to hear a moody melody about a cowboy.

I'm generally outgoing, probably reserved when I first meet you, it all depends on the planetary alignment. (kidding). I love The Simpsons, I still remember when they were first introduced on The Tracey Ullman Show. I also like various kinds of music, but my main focus is on indie-rock. I would like to meet someone who is easy going, loves to laugh, and is a little outdoorsy. I'm separated, and I share custody of my four year old son. I'm hoping that the person I meet likes children, and possibly has his own.

I think that I should mention that my 'ideal' man is someone who can express himself easily. I'd like to have some serious chemistry as well as a great friendship with this person. I know that asking for a knight in shining armor is a little unrealistic, but I wouldn't mind if he were a little romantic, funny, strong-willed, kind of pretty (not prettier than me), intelligent, athletic, and since someone addressed this in their profile, I think a good kisser would be a bonus. (Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not here for that, but I do think that that's part of two people's natural attraction).

For now, I'd like to hang out, see if we connect, and go from there.

Music: I have to take a deep breath for this: The English beat (I confess; fav. song). the airborne toxic event,Led Zeppelin, (a mainstay, like all of the classic rock influences) I hate FREEBIRD (bad Army experience with a bowling alley and drunk privates who had too many quarters to feed a hungry jukebox). The Pretenders, Stevie Nicks, JOSEPH ARTHUR (Honey and the Moon & In The Sun, and so much more), The cure, The SMiths, New Order, Los Campesinos!, (recently tried out The Shout Out Louds and think they are ultra-cool), Siouxsie And The Banshees, Paula Cole (first album and where have all the cowboys gone), liking Jenny Lewis, (another borrowed item), Jack Johnson, Oingo Boingo, (did you know that Danny Elfman married Brigette Fonda? And they have a son? Eez cool). (an endless list, and some will change by morning, but if you're a good curious type, you'll look up what piques your interest). Another favorite is to find remixes of old classics; Madonna, Human League, (even current stars are cool to find, because-1), you won't find it on the radio, 2) ITS JUST COOLER THAN THE ORIGINAL!

Faith: I like a little theo-philosophy. Raised catholic, but began questioning the structure and purpose of organized religion a few years ago. Now I just dig checking out mythology and various religious views. I guess I like to see God through everyone's eyes.
