Allow myself to introduce ... myself:

I'm nice, energetic, positive, happy and funny. My favorite thing to do is hang out with friends. I love to make people laugh -- and I'm comfortable laughing at myself. I have "thick skin", so I rarely get angry or negative. It helps that I'm open-minded, laid back, and unpretentious.

I'm looking to meet a nice, social and athletic woman for friendship and fun. If something more develops, that's wonderful. But I have no expectations and I'm not looking to rush anything.

I have a "rugged" build with strong shoulders, arms and hands. So when I race sailboats I usually get to do the hardest jobs (e.g., grinding winches). And I enjoy giving massages.

I've been told that I'm a good kisser. And, while I'm not a GQ guy, I do have a decent sense of style -- I always wear nice shoes on dates :)

I like most music, except rap & opera. I really love the blues -- especially "jump" blues (e.g., Roomful of Blues).

I like many types of movies and plays, but I can't sit through an entire chick flick or a musical that has no dialog. I think that most of what's on TV is mindless drivel, but I do like Family Guy, Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Lost and Two and a Half Men.

My drink of choice is a nice single-malt Scotch on the rocks. But I also drink full-bodied red wines for good health -- the same reason I choke down dark chocolate (j/k -- I really love that).

PS: In case you were wondering, Hugo Hercules was the first superhero. That was a Chicago Tribune comic strip for 4 months in 1902.

I prefer meeting for drinks or coffee to see if we click. If we do, I like to be creative and plan a first date that's both fun and romantic.

But I'm fine with just going out for dinner -- I do great on interviews!

My favorite foods are Thai, sushi, Indian and middle-eastern (I love hummus and baba ghannouj). I also enjoy cooking and eating nice meals together.
