I'm a bit of a geek, INFP, love outdoors activities, quite liberal, not into organized religion.

I love to sing. My high school choir recently had a reunion and gave a benefit concert for our school. Our months of practices formed new bonds with freshly made friends as well as rekindled old bonds that had lain dormant for decades. People came from all over the country as well as a dear friend from Australia. Even the former governor of our state. An amazing & heartwarming experience. We rediscovered our connective roots. My heart is still singing.

I love music: blues, folk, classical, rock, choral. Music touches, heals, comforts and delights in ways that nothing else can. Karl Paulnack, pianist and director of music division at Boston Conservatory, sums it up for me:

"Music has a way of finding the big, invisible moving pieces inside our hearts and souls and helping us figure out the position of things inside us."

Around my 50th b'day I took up whitewater rafting. I rowed the Grand Canyon in April '06 - 21 day private trip. 13 years on a waiting list. There is a very marvelous zen-like "in the moment" connection about rowing a river.

I do other things besides whitewater. I biked the STP in 2008. Almost killed me but I did it. 2 days of course. The STP = annual Seattle to Portland bike ride, abt 204 miles.

When rivers aren't up I bike or hike. Used to be a serious skier - former instructor - would love to do more of that again.

Cooking as a shared experience is really enjoyable. Indian, Japanese, Thai foods are my favorites. I cook a really mean curry chicken soup. Try me . . .

In a previous lifetime, I used to be an earth mother type. Lived on 5 acres. Love to garden. Me & dirt get along.

Lest you think I'm a total non-girly girl, I do own heels & dresses & actually like to dress up. I clean up pretty well.

I'm looking for an intelligent, articulate, emotionally available, stable, secure man for LTR. I'm wanting someone to be together with for the end game. Adventurous & fun loving yet able to be there for the quiet good times. Couch potatoes, spectator sports fanatics & smokers won't have much in common with me.

I'm just kind of easing into this. It's been a while. My biggest dream would be to find a person I can connect with on a heart to heart and soul to soul level. Recent events have convinced me that these connections absolutely do exist.

I like the idea of loving people because of their imperfections, rather than in spite of them. I suppose like anything, there's a limit as to how far you can take that . . .
