I’m a nice guy who’s a humorous, polite, giving person. I’m looking for an independent, strong-willed person with high standards and integrity to create some memories with. My life has been rich with travels, experiences and the personal relationships encountered along the way.

I like doing normal things like: going to the movies, attending festivals, museums, day trips to interesting places or just watching sunsets. When it comes to TV, I will watch sporting events but I'm not a 'sports nut' and don't have a favorite anything. Usually I stick to the news, Nat Geo, Discovery and the History Channel. True there’s a couple weekly programs I try not to miss, like House and South Park, but I’m not into most network ‘reality’ programs. So, if you live by them, please don’t hold it against me when you watch them alone.

Wish I had some really cool hobbies to speak of but they were set aside while being a father, so I’m open. Learning something like blowing art glass would be really cool. Then I wouldn't have to buy it. Of interests, I have many which include, but not limited to: writing, architecture, history, ‘older’ movies, geology, historical sites, visiting junk stores (guess I should say antique), music (listening, not playing or dancing) and looking at the moon and stars.

I wouldn’t jog to the end of the block (personal reasons) but enjoy riding my bicycle to a nice park to looking at nature and type on my laptop. Or, riding to the local coffee shop to drink lattes, look at people and type on my laptop.

I like doing 'odd' things also. Like going on a guided tour of local cemetery to hear about the people and the tombstones, walking nature tours, milling around river beds looking for interesting stones or sitting on an overpass to watch fireworks five miles away (it’s a family thing).

My career has concluded so I have time to go places and do things. However, I appreciate the difference between just seeing something as opposed to experiencing it with someone special. That’s where the memories are made. Are you looking for experiences and memories?

Have children - Yes, 16 y/o computer killing son, who lives with mother, out of state.
Smoking - Yes, but it's a habit, not a 'have to'. In the beginning, I won't smoke in front of or around you and will quit when relationship develops.

I'd like to meet in the bar of a nice restaurant. Don't know about you, but I'll need a drink. Plus, it's easier to talk there. Dinner can follow if talking shows promise.
