I have recently started taking my career seriously. I work out almost every day. I enjoy traveling, and I do it a lot for work. I listen to jazz and bluegrass a lot lately, but I enjoy all kinds of music. I have no children, but I have six orchids right now. They are my latest obsession. I am a pretty mellow guy. I haven't had a very serious adult relationship, and I have avoided commitment for a long time. I guess that is because I haven't been sure of who I am to become or whatever and I don't want to end up in a bad situation. I have a hard time getting out of those sometimes. I do date, but I want to meet someone new, and someone who I wouldn't meet in the typical way... through friends or whatever. I laugh, I am fun to be around most of the time, and I am a good guy.
I feel like people think because I don't want to jump right in to a relationship that I am some scumbag just looking for shallow one night stands. That isn't the case. I just want to see who is out there. I can't help but think there might be the perfect girl out there for me, and I don't want to be in a wrong relationship when I meet her.

I am not really in to planning things like this too much. My ideal first date would be going anywhere and doing anything and really enjoying whatever it is along with the person I am with. I like to walk around a lot, and just people watch or look at old buildings... but I also like to dress up and go out to a nice place from time to time too.
