I've often been described as having the heart of a child. I love to have fun, yet I have surprised many people by my serious side. As people get to know me they tend to peel away the layers of my personality and can see my whole person, like an onion! (metaphor courtesy of Shrek)

I tend to be very straightforward, and sometimes blunt. On the other hand, I can comfortably fit into most any environment presented to me. I am known amongst my friends for being funny (some will say funny looking).

My most noticeable feature is my eyes and eye lashes. Since I was a child I have always been told by women that they wish they could steal my eyelashes.

My daughter and son (technically step-son) are the most important thing in my life. They have really helped me learn to be a better person and helped me grow up. Because of their importance, it is critical that I don't cause any additional stress in their life as a side-effect of my social life.

I'd really love to meet someone who is smart, ambitious, loves children, understands the importance of family, takes commitment very seriously, has an excellent sense of humor, and is a good communicator. Appearance-wise, I am a sucker for a pretty face (after all, someday you may be waking up next to this face for the rest of your life).

Like most people, I don't know everything about relationships. I do believe, however, that the ability to confront problems and deal with them is key to the success of any relationship. If one person or the other is unwilling or incapable of dealing with the inevitable issues that life brings your way, the relationship is likely doomed. Additionally, being able to empathize and put aside one's pride to recognize that sometimes life presents situations with no good solution.
