I just moved back after years in NYC with a stop before that in the ATL (actually I have been back for three years now, can you still say just?) . . . although I am still looking for a "Central Park" park and I have yet to spot a corner bodega for late-night snacks - I have discovered that DC is pretty great.

So this is me in a nutshell (insert Austin Powers line here. . .) I think the best way to answer this question is to poll the friends. The girls say: 1) always a smile on her face, 2) smart, confident, and career driven, 3) adventurous and spontaneous, 4) WATER baby-happiest under the water or just in it!, 5) a total goofball, but can wax serious with the best of them, 6) has the most amazing and cool parents, 7) would rather photosynthesize outdoors than be stuck inside, 8) is the social coordinator for everything from Jazz Fest weekends in NOLA to local rootop parties for burgers and beer 9) cries in EVERY movie and 10) above all, a genuine person who would do ANYTHING for the people she cares about. Now let's see how the guys polled: 1) definitely a "cool chick . . .she actually gets it" - thanks boys - ah, the simplicity of the male mind - short and sweet.

So, I guess I am one of those "try-anything-once philosophy" people - except I won't eat beets - not even once. LOVE going to hear live music and always have tickets to some show in the pipeline (9:30 Club, Black Cat, DC9, State Theater a few faves). And, it has to be said, however trite this statement has become: My true addiction really is traveling. . . I have been fortunate enough to have some amazing experiences all over the world including traveling everywhere from Spain to China and Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji - highlights on that trip: shark-feeding dive and one hell-of-a bungy-jump. Recent adventures - Croatia, Marrakesh, Costa Rica - not in one trip :) And in other late breaking news, I just finished my first triathlon - even though at times I felt like Debbie in Singles (inquire if confused)! And uh, SHARK WEEK! And not to be left out, I do still love to relax on the couch and stay in to chill!
