I enjoy good conversation over coffee, dining out, playing cards, movies, walks, travel to new or old places, watching the river, cooking, shows, all with or for a companion. I am retired so my free time is all the time. I love good stories, funny even if the story is on me. I am agreeable, outgoing, witty, knowledgeable and enjoy conversation about various topics such as cars, books, sports, ideas, people, cooking, health issues, family & movies. My musical tastes run to country, rock & roll of the 50's & 60's, Santana, guitars such as Chet Atkins. Favorite artist include Jones, Cash, Alabama, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, Don Williams and others I can't think of on short notice.

I believe in a slow warm up and 1st date would be a get to know you meeting in a public place over a coke or coffee. Who knows, maybe there is no spark and both will know rather quick. 2nd date or later in the 1st date, maybe dinner or a movie or just finish the conversation. I'm not a person who has to go somewhere special all the time. Occasionally yes, but in this day & age who can afford expensive outings all the time. There are several things to do and places to go that require just a effort to locate them, such as museums, malls, Paducah wall on the river, parks for walks, vineyards, visitors centers, local events and home. Nothing beats a Netflex movie, home baked cookies & coffee. This would be a 4th or 5th date...after you have decided that I am not a serial killer. Right?
