I just read my profile and realized how much it sucked before so hopefully this time it's a little bit better. God I hate filling these things out!

OK, well let's see... Here's a little bit of history about myself:

After I graduated high school I enlisted into the Marines. I served for four years in the Infantry and when I got out, I went to Valencia Community College and obtained my associates degree. I was originally studying Exercise Physiology because I loved working out and wanted to be a bad-ass personal trainer, but somewhere along the way I fell in love with Mathematics and changed directions altogether and decided to pursue Computer Science. Up until that point in my life I had been a very physical person without putting much thought into things, but with math I felt a great sense of power being able to analyze, understand, and solve things with my mind and not my body.

I struggled alot once I transferred to the university because this was about the time that 9/11 had happened and I felt a very strong urge to return to the military during our country's time in need, but I also wanted to finish school. I enjoyed school and made good grades but I was ultimately distracted by the need to serve.

In August of 2006, I left USF and joined the Army. I wanted to be a part of the whole "Iraq thing" before it was too late. I spent 15 months there and found it to be very rewarding. Not only was I serving my country, but I had also acquired a new set of skills that are inline with my educational goals: computer networking.

I have a little over a year left in the Army and although I do not plan to reenlist, I may extend so that I can deploy to Iraq one more time. Once I get out I plan to obtain employment in the IT field and finish my degree. I've worked hard to pay off all of my debt (over $35,000 in student loans) and am very responsible nowadays when it comes to my money. I am sort of old-fashioned in the sense that I believe that the man should provide for his family and would not have wanted to get into a relationship where my debt would become yours. One minor (but honest) disclaimer about myself: I don't have a car. Reason being is because at this point in my life I should no longer have any debt for anything that is not tangible (i.e., student loans) and fought all temptation during the last year to purchase one in order to pay everything off and start from scratch. But don't write me off just yet. I can usually borrow one from one of my buddies and I do plan to buy one very soon. I want to get a Dodge Charger--I love those cars!

I'm not quite sure if the format of my description is ideal for a dating website, and I suppose it's rather long-winded but I figure that anyone who might actually be interested in me would like to know some details about me.

As for my personality, I am very adaptive and prefer someone on the extreme end of the spectrum, e.g., someone who is either very submissive or someone who is very uptight or aggressive/dominant. Submissive people are great because you can basically do whatever you want and they just go along with you (it's always about you), uptight people are great because you can constantly crack on them and try to make them laugh when they're trying so damn hard to be serious, and aggressive/dominant people are great because they like to tell ME what to do and I find it sexy when a woman bosses me around. Just don't nag though.

I'm a really fun, goofy guy that likes to joke around alot. I'm into humor and being really dorky and I come up with the corniest stuff all the time. If you get my kind of humor, then we'll probably get along great. I can be serious when I'm supposed to be, but most of the time I like to be stupid and have fun. Chemistry is absolutely vital. It is the most important part of a relationship, especially in the beginning. We'll either have it or we won't and we'll both know within a few minutes. If not, then we could still be friends.

My favorite place to go on a date is probably one of those science museums where you can play with all the stuff--like the (I dont know what theyre called) electric ball things and climb up the cushion walls. I like fun, simple stuff like that. Or coffee. Coffee is good and quick and lets you know if you even want anything to do with that person ever again or not. Or drinks. Drinks are always a good way to ease the tension. I always fear first dates. So much is on the line.

I don't really like the idea of having dinner on the very first date though because to be perfectly honest, I do find it somewhat weird and awkward to eat in front of someone that I don't know because for one, I'm kind of a messy eater--not a slob but just not all "proper", and for two, if I'm really into you, then I'm even more self-conscious and stressed trying not to be messy and this detracts from my ability to impress you. Know what I mean? If getting something to eat is just a small part of the first date, e.g., if we're at an amusement park and we grab some hot dogs, then it's not a big deal, but if dinner IS the date, it just feels too much like a job interview to me.
