I love my life. So far, it has been quite a ride. I have been very fortunate, my kids are healthy, happy, and fun to be with. I can honestly say I love my work. I get to go all over the world doing what I love doing (diving, photography, engineering, and working with high-tech toys). I have been with the same firm for over 25 years and my coworkers are also my best friends. I am happy and reasonably comfortable in my own skin.

I have tried several of the online dating services in the past and have met some very nice people. I think the word “chemistry” is way over used, however, I have learned that this nebulous term IS important and extremely difficult to find. There have been times when I just turned off and stopped dating because it became frustrating. I came down with TMFDS (To Many First Dates Syndrome). But when it’s all said and done, if I don’t make the effort I’m not going to find anyone. So here I am, I hope you’re out there and you find me.

I am NOT looking for someone who needs a man to “complete” them. The person I am looking for already has a life that she is passionate about. She is smart, adventurous, confident, and has a great sense of self. She will be as comfortable in a formal social situation as she is hiking through a rain forest. A love of the ocean and boating is absolutely essential. She has an open mind and is inquisitive about the world and all the different kinds of people in it. If you don’t have an open mind or you judge people by the color of their skin or their religion (or lack there of) then don’t bother responding.
