I have a degree in English Literature and am in the process of applying to PhD programs. It is really time consuming and horribly nerve wracking, but I'm hoping for a positive outcome!
When i'm not working or in school, I love to hike, run, take long walks or practice yoga. I like to be active and get outside. I also love music of all kinds and don't mind traveling a bit to see amazing shows. I play the piano and sing and love jam with people and make music. I like film of all kinds, from foreign to art cinema to big blockbuster-type movies. I adore reading and have a large collection of books. I am particularly interested in American Contemporary Fiction through the lens of women's narratives. I am a bit of a nerd and really appreciate someone with a keen intellect and a love of learning.
I love to talk about anything and everything and really appreciate a man who is verbal and likes conversation with substance. That said, we can all appreciate a good fart joke from time to time;).
I have had some serious illness in my life and it has really shaped who I am. I live every day with enjoyment and don't want to waste time with excuses. I want to get out and live and am looking for someone with a joy for life. I am generally a happy person and look for a positive and non-judgemental attitude.

I am non-religous, politically neutral (with STRONG liberal tendencies when it comes to social issues), and am genuinely excited about MOST things.
