I like to play pool and poker, go to dive bars with live music, watch movies, go camping/hiking, drink coffee, drive around, play video games, ride roller coasters, cook (but I hate doing dishes), try new things ... if I'm with good people (and laughing), I'm probably having fun. I like people that are sarcastic, funny and honest. I like watching football (Steelers!), baseball (Pirates) and hockey (Penguins), and I'm sure you'll never guess where I grew up. I also like to watch tennis and soccer. I don't have cable, so I don't watch a lot of TV. I have a cat and a dog who boss me around. I'm easy-going and can have fun doing just about anything. I work in journalism and enjoy staying informed. I think knowledge and intellect are sexy :)

Books: 1984, Brave New World, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Catcher in the Rye, A Clockwork Orange, Sophie's Choice, Lord of the Flies, The Giver, All Quiet on the Western Front, Slaughter House 5, The Great Gatsby, Catch-22, Harry Potter series (was not as lame as I thought it would be!); pretty much anything by Stephen King, Shakespeare, Edgar Allen Poe, Ray Bradbury, Kurt Vonnegut; poetry by Anne Sexton, Sylvia Plath, e. e. cummings. I also like short fiction by way too many people to name (Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery" is probably my favorite short story). I get a little sad at the end of every book I read because that's it, man.
