I love the outdoors and would like to meet someone who shares that passion. I don't require a fitness buff, but it is such an important part of my life that that too should probably be a shared passion for anyone who would put up with me. You must love children, because I do. I'll love yours, if you'll love mine. I like the mountains and the beaches and exploring new places. I am a pretty decent cook, and I like to experiment in that area and try new dishes and cuisines. My preference in travel is to go off the beaten path and avoid the tourist traps. I am not a bar hound but I do like to hear some live music once in a while. I like all types of music from Rock (classic and modern)to Country, R&B, Blues, Folk, Classical, Jazz, and even some Hip Hop. Did I leave anything out? I have an opinion on most subjects, but I do not consider myself to be opinionated. I will listen and respect differing opinions. My favorite bumper sticker: "People with small minds talk about other people. People with average minds talk about events. People with great minds talk about ideas." Yes, all of that was on a bumper sticker. My sense of humor can be a little absurd. In the interest of full disclosure I will state that I do like puns, and will dust one off once in a while. If you're still reading after that, we may be compatible. I enjoy my work, but I strive to keep a balance. We were not put here to pursue money to the exclusion of all else. I need someone who is inquisitive and non-complacent. I don't understand the concept of boredom, because we all die knowing only a tiny fraction of what is possible.

I don't have a master plan for a first date. I think its wise to converse by email, then by phone, and then meet in a public place. That could be a coffee shop, restaurant, art gallery, or God forbid a shopping mall.
