About Me
Well let's see... First off i would like to say that i am a "down to earth" kinda guy. Having been born in the North, and "reared"(as the old ones would say..)in the South, I have shared both Worlds(City & Country life), and still enjoy the experiences both have to offer. Growing up in the country as a boy i came to understand and appreciate the things that so many take for granted each day; fresh air, clean drinking water, crops harvested from the Earth, etc.
I also enjoy traveling. Not to some foreign country, which i have done, but namely to other states to visit family and friends. Ahhh, nothing like a "weekend getaway" with good conversation and good music. I truly love music. It's like my second language. Words alone cannot express how music makes me feel. Whether singing in the shower or in front of a captive audience, the feeling is the same. WARNING: do not attempt to get acquainted with me unless you enjoy being serenaded...(smile) I enjoy different styles of music; the classics, R&B, Pop, Hip hop, Classical, Reggae, Techno, Big Band, Jazz, Light Rock,etc.,etc. But my favorite music is Christian music; from hymns to choir, this is the music that will echo throughout Eternity. And as far as singing goes, I am a Tenor(falsetto). I was influenced greatly in my early years by Maurice White, Phillip Bailey(falsetto), Stevie Wonder, Ron Isley, Steve Perry, Georg Benson, Howard Hewitt, and of course Luther. I have come to recognize that "music" and "memories" naturally go together like water & rain, like fire & flame. Music is that portal which we use to travel back in time whenever we desire. When a song is played that we have enjoyed over the years, we can be instantly transported back to a special place and moment in time. Songs remind me of many things, especially seasons of the year. One of my favorite seasons is Fall; When the air is so crisp, the leaves are descending to the ground, and we stand in awe, gazing at the spectacular evening sunset. There is a "Far out" side to me as well. I am a "Star gazer"; You probably gathered this from my screen name? Since childhood i recall sitting under the clear night sky trying to count ALL the stars. Wow! I'm not finished yet..(lol)
Why am I on this site? I would like to make a romantic connection with an eligible female, once we have excelled past friendship 101. I believe that peoples paths don't just cross but that there is a design and purpose behind every encounter. Here are a few criteria that i have when desiring to take "it" to the next level. My Woman will be, above all things, in touch with her Creator and her inner self, open minded, and genuine. She desires the companionship of a man who Loves God, himself, children, & desires to Love her unselfishly, not thinking of what he needs, but rather what he can give. And of course, one who desires to experience "True" Love in all its' beautiful facets. She finds pleasure in the simple things; cuddling on the couch, having her feet massaged after a long day, or just relaxing with our favorite drink. When we touch, whether it be physically or visually, the place is ignited with passion. She will strike on my heart, lighting the flames of imagination and ecstasy that will keep our Love glowing and burning bright for all to see. She will enjoy being held by Strong arms in the wake of the setting Sun, and be serenaded under the moonlight. She will not be afraid to let that sweet little girl, you know, the one on the inside, come out and play, everyday. She will feel free to express her feelings about any and everything, whenever she desires. My woman will not see me as she has seen anyone else in her past. Our romance will be like going to a place she has only dreamed of visiting before; full of good things, all new and exciting....
Well, i could continue writing, but why? That would take all of the fun out of YOU & I getting better acquainted. And as they say in the game of Chess; "Your Move"...
First Date
A great night out, for starters, would be doing dinner and a movie. Having a nice meal at a nice restaurant, is a good way to get things going. Nothing like being hungry while sitting in a movie, eating popcorn and sipping on a soda. I believe that having dinner with your date reveals different facets of his or her personality, public interaction, and social etiquette, just to name a few. I enjoy the Park, and if the Season is right, a picnic is always a great idea. After wards, we both can have a nice stroll and take in some scenery. A sporting event can be a great first date, as well as an Art exhibit, Stage Production, or perhaps Roller Skating. What ever your comfortable with, is fine with me.
