I'm an independent career woman, yet love to cook gourmet meals for my guy. I believe that romance, passionate sex and a stimulating intellectual connection make for a dynamite combination! On a first date, I think it crucial to be in a place that is conducive to communication. As much as I love music, film & theatre, it's important to be able to talk, so a quiet cafe, art gallery, walk in the park, etc. might be a better intro. Or a boat ride (the SI ferry!), bike ride (Central Park) followed by a picnic....It's more important that the two people feel relaxed and ready to share.
