About Me
I am passionate about being successful in my career; however, I am not obsessed with my current job nor am I a workaholic. I am currently starting my own business, I always knew I was an entrepreneur, and I have finally decided to make it happen...more about that later :) I also like participating in sports, spending time outdoors, exercising, traveling, and music...just to name a few. I play guitar, but who does not in this town. I have been known to write a song or two. I music style is all over the board, but these days I lean towards the singer/song writer genre. I am an open book and I am looking for someone who is also open. I want to be able to talk with my partner about anything, both funny and serious. So, dont be shy and we will get along great. Furthermore, I grew up on a farm in Amish country, but i have also spent a good amount of time in the city, so wherever you are from I can probably relate.
First Date
Ill tell you about one of my first date experiences first. I was a freshman in college and I had a crush on a senior girl. I had a date planned with this girl after a basketball game. I had a couple of my friends leave early and "prep the date site." The date was planned at a golf course on a bridge (keep in mind I was a silly freshman, but I was romantic). My buds went out ahead to lay a blanket out on the bridge, light some candles, and put a cooler out filled with ice cream and everything else needed for toppings. My date and I parked at one end of the fairway and walked down the fairway to the candles, the funniest part is that we saw my freinds running off...they had just finished prepping. Anyways, we just sat there, talked and ate ice cream, and the weather was perfect. And I feel like I should say that we did not kiss, it was not some ploy to get her into bed...I just thought it would be fun. All that to say, I can be creative. I dont know if I would do that on a first date these days. Here is what I might do. Plan the date, call a few places to eat and make reservations at one. I would buy some flowers...I like sunflowers. I probably would not pick a movie, because then we could not talk. Depending on the weather, not because of me (I once had a date where a girl and I ate watermelon while playing in the snow) but because my date might get cold, I would like to walk outside and enjoy some fresh air. I beleive that a good date does not need to be packed full of activities, to many activites can get in the way of getting to know someone.
