'It is not that life is so short, it is that we waste so much of it.'

I just turned 30 and spend most of my time on school work as I'm in Grad school getting my Master's in History right now, then a Ph.d. My goal is to become a professor and scholar in Roman History. Thus I keep plenty busy. I've traveled to Rome and will definitely be going back as well as visiting Greece, Turkey and Spain. Despite my headline, I am not a lush! But I do like to enjoy a few drinks at the end of a long/hard week with my lifelong friends. I'm very easy going and comfortable in who I am, where I have been and where I am going. I have a big heart and a hearty laugh. I am who I am and won't change for anyone as I feel that is a big mistake. We should each value and appreciate differences as well as similarities. Consistency, dependability and loyalty is a big part of my personality. I'm always there for my loved ones. Think I sound somewhat perfect so far? Nope. I can be stubborn once in a while, don't always maintain a high level of excitement as I'm low key by nature, and don't look to bungee jump, skydive or go off-roading. If you want a jock, he's not here. I do stay active, however, via hikes and the gym, but as I'm focused on school, I tend to be more cerebral. I do get very excited about the things I love (listed in my interests) and I would love to have a partner in crime who can help me spark and enjoy life as it is, and maybe create something amazing together. That means sharing in some mutual interests, which hopefully includes lots of laughter. You: are down to earth and can be outgoing, have no kids, are close to family and friends, can have interesting and intelligent conversation as well as silly ones, are a carnivore like me, and overall are an honest person with a good heart. I'm not stuck up, but we all have our likes/dislikes and things we look for right? I'm a mature guy and know what I want. Hopefully you do too. Good times are to be had and with the sun always out, why not enjoy it? Best wishes to all of us in our searches and journeys!!

It all depends on us. Some like dinner and a movie. I think meeting up for some casual and comfortable conversation is best--you can't talk during a movie! So maybe a drink after work would be the right way to go.
