Sometimes, the seemingly trivial acts we perform are the most important. Courtesy is an example. We refer to it in different ways, such as civility, good manners, good behavior, good conduct, politeness, decency, respect for others, thoughtfulness, kindness, and consideration. No matter what we call it, courtesy is NOT trivial. Polite people are enamored with life while those who are rude are likely bitter. After all, our manners are the clothes we wear, and they do reveal what type of person we are.

As to myself, respect is a given. Trust is earned. I treat everybody the same, except for the special someone I would like by my side. That person gets my all - including some very relaxing massages (*winks*) ... But we all know there is so much more to life then just sitting around the house watching movies or whatever. Myself, I am one who loves the great outdoors, fresh air, and the wind/breeze in my face. On some weekends you might find me awaken early, heading out to the beach to walk and catch the start of sunrise (sometimes with camera in tow to capture the moments; sometimes even with a bag of popcorn to feed the seagulls ... lol). I love animals. Heck, I even buy treats to give to my neighbors dogs. Do they like me? Well ... I know at least their dogs do (*chuckles*). Aside from that and as to music, I enjoy country, rock, jazz, blues, R&B, alternative, new age, some folk. And I have a modest and growing collection of the same. But rap? ... Not really.

But seriously, having someone special in our lives who we can love, trust, care for, and share the good things with is why many of us are here on POF. Dating is one thing. Finding someone that shares our beliefs and interest is another. And in my mind, sharing a few common interest is important. That aside, I consider myself to be a giving and kindhearted person. I might have been born at night, but not last night. I also know when to draw the line if necessary. In any event, if someone is going to let us hold their hearts in our hand, then it has to be held securely and also be protected. I still open doors. Now is that old fashion or what? Nevertheless, I am a Taurus. So that means I am down to earth, a good listener, understanding and compassionate, laid back, faithful when in a relationship, and love to have fun, etc (as those who know me do say). Humor to me is a must. And mine can be wacky sometimes, but cutting up and being silly can be fun when it's shared. As it has been said, sharing "laughter is the shortest distance between two people" .... and it is.

Lastly, I don't do/use drugs of anykind, I barely drink anything alcoholic ( just an occasional cold beer or glass of wine ).
