My friends will tell you that i'm a nice person, a good traveling companion, loyal, fun, and always up for a good laugh. but they'll also tell you that i'm a no nonsense type person (i always say what i mean) and probably express my opinions too freely.

my interests are all over the place, and want that in someone i decide to spend time with. i have a progressive approach to life. although i may look conventional, i am not one to adhere to the old adage that if something has always been done a certain way, it should continue to be done that way. change is good. with that being said, there's nothing better than having fun and exploring, being outside breathing fresh air or sitting with friends to a fabulous dinner having lively, diverse conversation.

each morning is greeted with optimism.

i have recently moved back to libertyville after living in san diego for over 30 years to begin caretaking my mother in the family home. very interesting experience, this caretaking business. rewarding, but challenging.

my interest it art and aesthetics comes from years of dancing training and being an arts administrator for a non-profit performance space. that experience afford me countless opportunities to learn and to come up against my preconceived notions on people, ideas, values, aesthetics. it was an experience that i would never trade. from my seat, there is lots of room for differences. no room for judgment or prejudice. i do, however, have to admit that there is one character flaw that really bugs me, and that .... well, two flaws. people who act like they are entitled and those who are rude. many times they go hand in hand.

in closing, i enjoy taking the time to get know someone who is authentic, curious about the world and chooses to be one of those types of people who affects the world, rather then letting the world always affect them.
