Hey, my name is Danny. I’m going to school at ASU to get my degree in education. After I get my undergraduate I plan on getting my Master’s in English so I can teach college. I am very opinionative (blessing or a curse?) and I’m very interested in a lot of things. I love music, movies, books, searching the internet, taking a good nap, hanging out with some of my best friends, going to movies, concerts, and whatever I deem as fun. With that said, I don’t always have to be doing something. To me, just hanging around at home sometimes is good for me.
Here’s something that’s different about me: I’m in a wheelchair. No, no, I’m not paralyzed. Not that there’s anything wrong with people who are paralyzed because they need love too! I was born with some condition (I hate that term. It sounds like I have leprosy) that prevents me from walking. Basically, my legs can’t support myself enough to walk. You know that movie Murderball? I’m like those guys, but not as buff… haha. At least I’m unique in that sense.

My best personality traits are my sense of humor, perseverance, and integrity. Can I brag? Because I’m going to. I’ve always been a funny person. All through school I was always trying to make my friends laugh and it’s just something I’ve been told by a lot of people. Perseverance is another one because I have this thing about me that once I set my mind to something I don’t stop until I succeed it. And integrity because… well because I don’t put up with any bullshit. I know who I am and there’s things I just won’t do.

I love music. I don’t just love music I am obsessed with music. I always have something playing either while I’m driving, on my stereo, or on my Ipod. I’ve been playing guitar for about 8 or 9 years now so it’s definitely become a major hobby of mine. One day, when the money is there, I want to buy a recording system to record my own music. I like mostly rock music with a bit of jazz. Some of my favorite artists are Pink Floyd, Rush, Frank Zappa, Dream Theater, Metallica (old stuff), Porcupine Tree, Queensryche, Cynic, Gordian Knot, Black Sabbath, Coldplay, Radiohead, Bob Marley, The Who, Genesis, ELP, King Crimson, Opeth, Dave Matthews Band… to name a few.

I’m a huge movie buff. Top five favorite movies ever are (in no order): Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, The Godfather, Back to the Future, Boogie Nights, and There Will Be Blood. Okay, that was six, but close enough. Haha…

I enjoy reading a lot as well. I always try to have a book to read. I try to read something that’s going to make me think most of the time. I hate ignorance, which is why I think I read so much. I have a few favorite books. I just reread “1984.” Still a great book and it’s definitely relevant to what’s going on in the world right now. I also read Ayn Rand’s “The Foutainhead” over the summer. I couldn’t put it down.

Let me break it down. I’m not interested in someone who can’t think for themselves or is always unsure of themselves. I dig intelligence more than looks. I really like people who think for themselves and goes by the beat of their own drum. If you have a different opinion on something than I do then challenge me. I can get along with almost anyone, but I don’t just want anyone. I know what I want.I’m not being smug or arrogant. This is me being honest, which is another trait of mine.
