I went on a blind date last year and the guy asked me what I am looking for in a guy. Driven, out-going, close to his family were some of my responses. When I asked him what he's looking for, he thoughtfully pondered the question and then replied, "A woman who is physically, financially, and mentally healthy." I thought that was a good response and asked him if he considered himself fit in those three areas. When he got to mentally, he paused...! So hopefully, you are confident about the state of your mental health as that is now a definite requirement for me :) Also, possession of a passport would also be great. It doesn't have to have lots of stamps in it, but the desire to travel and explore new places would be a plus.

I grew up in L.A., went to school here, and now work Downtown for a bank. It's been a heck of a year being a banker working with small to mid-size companies, but I still enjoy very much what I do. Life is good on all fronts, but I still haven't met that special someone I connect with so thought I'd give this a try.

It depends whether you already know the person or not, but if it's a completely blind date, then I think brunch on the weekend is nice. Usually can't go wrong with eggs & coffee most anywhere you go and it's more casual to meet during the day.
