I enjoy being outdoors. I like to hike, camp, and garden. I like to dance and am starting to learn salsa and swing dancing. I'm also learning to play a djimbe. I've played the guitar for years and would like to meet someone who would enjoy singing together. Lately, I've been playing texas holdem quite a bit.

I enjoy teaching high school students and am continually learning to do my job better. I read continually learning and understanding more about the world and the way it works. Meditation and Holosync Cd help me center myself in the middle of the day. I am drawn to Budhist teachings, sufi stories and sufi dancing, taoist teachings, zen, Jesus' teachings in Aramaic, connection with nature etc.

I don't believe in heaven and hell. I have a respect for nature and don't think humans are superior to all other beings.

I have an ecclectic taste for music. I check out a lot of different music from the Iowa City Library. My favorite cd is by Hildegard Von Binge. I like African, sufi, old country music, Dylan, blues- especially acoustic and older, folk, singer songwriters, reggae, flute, Indian, sufi, and much more.

On a first date, I would like to meet in a coffee house and get to know each other and maybe go for a walk in nature.
