In light of recent events I have decided to take a chance on internet dating. I have never tried this before and I don't have much "computer knowledge" so I am not sure how well it will work. I have grown tired of the dating scene as it seems to be impossible to find a decent lady. I would really like to find someone who is independant, trustworthy, fun and somewhat normal (I never trust anyone who says they are normal!!). It seems lately all I meet are women who want someone to take care of them or women who just want to play games. I would like to find a serious relationship worth being in. I am still young (kind of) and would like to find someone to share the rest of my life with. I'm not much of a smooth talker or "gamer" so don't expect any whitty or sly messages from me. I only say what I think. As for other things about me, I enjoy several types of hobbies. I very much like to listen to and create music. I enjoy all types of music. I also love to tinker with everything and anything. I love to make prints or build sculptures. I am very creative and enjoy making/ fixing things on my own instead of purchasing them if I can. I think cooking is fun and enjoy making tasty food. I also love the outdoors in all four seasons. I love to sail and kayak in the summer as well as hiking in the woods, biking and walking. I love to ice skate and ski in the winter. I find my career in the education field to be very rewarding. I very much enjoy teaching and working with students (although they can be challenging at times!). I also like to read novels (classics and contemporary) as well as enjoy watching movies. I will attend the occasional play or musical, but usually only once or twice a year (I like the Nutcracker Ballet). I like to spend time with my family and friends. Family is very important to me. I like to travel and see other parts of the country. I have yet to go outside the U.S. but would like to when I have a good traveling companion! On the weekends I like to listen to music or play it (If I have a gig) and spend time with friends. I also like to try new things. What kinds of new things? Usually just about anything. New places to visit, new restraunts, new types of food, whatever! I think variety is the spice of life. Although I am somewhat a creature of habit, I very much enjoy new expereinces and learning opportunities!

Hummm... Well first dates can be tough. So, lets see... I would like go to a casusal place such as a museum, botannical conservatory, or art opening. Even a walk outside in the park or some seasonal activity would be fun! Afterwards dinner would be good. Either going out or staying in, I like both! Going out for a drink and live music after dinner would be perfect! Hopefully some good dancing tunes! I love live music so I tend to find the atmosphere enjoyable. Dancing would be great! I just dance for fun, so don't expect greatness! To finnish up the evening a nightcap at a quiet place would be perfect to continue conversation and unwind after a night of fun!
