I'm incredibly skeptical about the world of internet dating...but my friends insisted. I believe that everything happens for a reason, so here goes..I grew up in Montreal and worked in London, England for a few years. I have a 7-year old daughter who is the reason I wake up each morning. I never realized that people were capable of such intense love, unconditional positive regard and able to form such a strong emotional connection until I became a mother. She's been the greatest joy and focus of my life (she lives with me 70% of the time), but now I'm seeking a more balanced lifestyle. I should highlight the fact that I live in Richmond Hill and our roots are firmly planted here (for now!). For the right person, under the right circumstances, I would consider re-locating my daughter and I to a different area within the GTA.

Living in the UK afforded me the opportunity to travel extensively throughout Europe; I am also well traveled throughout North American and the Caribbean. I hold a Masters Degree and I'm a PhD candidate with the University of Toronto. Besides travel, I have a passion for reading, going to the theater, out for dinner, cuddling and exercise. I am VERY active! I exercise 7 days a week; whether its pounding the pavement (I'm a long-distance runner) or working out indoors (I enjoy spin classes and weight training). I believe that we have friends for a reason, friends for a season and friends for life. I wonder if there's someone out in cyber space with whom I am compatible and with whom I am able to establish a life-long friendship. You should have integrity (say what you mean and mean what you say), be respectful of your fellow person (do onto others as you would want them to do onto you), be honest (being lied to and/ or infidelity is a deal breaker!) and be an effective communicator (I'm not a mind-reader so its important that you speak up for what you want in a clear and direct manner).

I'm always up for something new and exciting; something that might challenge me! However, I'm still quite traditional and enjoy going out for dinner and/ or drinks. Ideally, we would not look at the clock, but rather wonder where the time went. The evening would end as we both agree to get together again...and mean it.
