My goal is to make every day count. I have an optimistic attitude. I look forward to a friend to go fishing with, help him tinker with cars or whatever he does, a travel companion, someone to encourage and talk with. I am not superficial or shallow. I have a deep/complex personality, shoot pretty straight, tho a bit of BS is usually in order! I enjoy a good sense of humor. In my family, if you don't pick on someone, it means you don't luv em! I have a very independent side as well as appreciate some testosterone around the house! I enjoy traditional roles without limiting or trying to change each other. Highest on the list is a man who shares my Christian faith.

I prefer star gazing and the sound of crickets and bullfrogs to the city sounds and lights. I need the fresh air of the country, whether it be living in the boonies or spending lots of spare time there. As for getting out of the house, live music has been my latest escape - Texas and red dirt country bands and nice cold beer. As far as smoking, I am trying to quit.

My kids are 24 and 28. I have a 4-yo granddaughter who is the absolute joy of my life.

In a way, I wish we could skip the whole dating scene, but if you really think about it, courtship does help us remember what it's like to be young: butterflies in the belly, embarassing moments, tripping over your own feet, and anticipating that first kiss!
