I think a first date should not be in a place that you can't talk and get to know each other. So a movie would not be it or any loud place is out. I think dinner out or maybe a trip to the zoo. A picnic in the park or a walk down by the lake. Coffee is always safe. I think what ever the place it should be lite and simple for a first date.
