I try to live a balanced life making time to exercise, eat healthy meals, work, play, read and spend time with friends.
I'm very interested in the convergence of my (religious) faith, psychology and practical spirituality. I did my post-graduate work in the area of the psycho-dynamics of diverse groups...how people of different ages, races, faiths, ethnic backgrounds, education, economic levels and nationalities interact and deal with each other.., so I'm very comfortable with all people in most situations. I've facilitated recovery workshops for widowed and divorced men and women in my community. My day job is in the area of Organizational Development. I love my job and my work takes me to many of my favorite cities all over the country.
I grew up in a city but my parents home was right on the ocean so I love cities but I love the sound of waves and walking for miles and miles on a beach at sunrise in the quiet of the morning, even more.
I love all kinds of music and musicals.. rock, classical, pop, opera, (Beethoven and Bach to Sinatra and Sting) but the Beatles are my all time favorite band. I love singing (I've sung in a band and also sung Gregorian chant in a choir.) I love to read and I belong to a book club and a movie club. I LOVE reading a book aloud with someone not just to get through it, but to share ideas and thoughts about it.
I lived in Boston for twenty years and studied with Irishmen as an undergraduate student so I love everything Irish (St. Patrick's Day, Irish Ceili bands, Irish folk music) AND the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Celtics, the New England Patriots, the Montreal Canadiens (I also lived in Montreal) and World Cup Soccer. I also lived in NY state while I was in Graduate school but I don't like the Yankees at all :>)
I've lived and travelled in four different countries and I enjoy observing and understanding new cultures and new people.

I'd love to go for a long walk around Centennial Lake in Columbia and get a bite to eat at one of my favorite ethnic restaurants. Or we could meet at a quiet coffee shop ( though I don't drink coffee) and talk face-to-face. I love to write but don't like talking on the phone because I like to see a person's face when I'm talking with them.
