I've got a unique view on life. Of course, being a 6' 2" Chinese guy is a contradiction, so you shouldn't be surprised that I see things really differently. For starters, contrary to what some of my associates say, IMHO women aren't commodities, and I'm hoping to find a woman that doesn't treat guys like that either. My "marketable" skills are basic things which seem to be disappearing - compassion, sincerity, and the ability to have open, honest communications. Imagine that - I want to learn what is on your mind. Call me old fashioned, but I still believe in decency towards people, and have a somewhat chivalrous side.

It's sad, but in a world overrun by clubbers and over "taste of the week" institutions, these skills don't seem to be valued as much anymore.

I'm an Engineer by training, and currently work as a consultant for an insurance company. As part of my job, I do quite a bit of traveling, which is favorable because I like to get out Toronto on a regular basis. I'm also one of those guys you'll see walking the streets, carrying a vast assortment of photography equipment. This helps me to catalog my time out of town, and also allows me to capture interesting images, such as buildings, landscapes, and stupidly named Chinese-Canadian restaurants. I also have a number of other atypical hobbies, but I won't bore you with the details here.

I have what would be described as a witty/sarcastic sense of humour. It helps me deal with what would other wise be mundane daily tasks, and it also puts an interesting twist on things. It's also the cause of quite a few "interesting" things I've done in the past few years. I'm a unique individual - no cookie cutter personality for me. I can do a decent job of keeping you guessing.

For now, I hope this gives you a *basic* idea of who I am. To summarize, I'm just a regular joe, that still believes in the concepts of communication, and treating women like people, and not objects. I hope there are women out there that still have faith in humanity, and are looking for a person like me. If so, I'd REALLY like to hear from you.

First dates... well first dates are unique for every person. In general, I can say that it would be somewhere comfortable and neutral to both parties, though I would safely say it would lean more towards the choosing of my date.

After all, it's flattering that of all the people in the world, she's chosen to see me.

When we meet up, there would be the traditional greetings and flowers (as desired) - after that I'm really hoping that I'd get the opportunity to get to know this person. Her hopes, her dreams, things about her life... its my goal to understand this person. In return, I'm hoping I would get the opportunity to present myself, hopefully endearing myself upon my date. Basically, we'd just hang out and become best of friends.

At the end of the night, I'm hoping I'd get some contact information, and a second date. A hug would be nice too - yeah, strange as it sounds going all the way on the first date isn't something I'm looking for.

*sigh*... maybe I'm just a dreamer.
