I'm a dreamer with my head in the clouds and my feet firmly planted on the ground- the only way that you can really make your dreams come true is to decide what you want and then to make it happen.

A long, long time ago I decided I wanted to see the world- the whole world! I graduated from my University, spent a few years in the midwest working hard in a noble and world changing profession. Then it was off to California for sunshine and the corporate world where I gained more experience and expertise researching and analyzing non-profits and private companies. Then- when the timing was just perfect I took a giant (and well planned) leap of faith and set out on the road for 22 months on a self funded around the world trip. 36 countries, 22 states and over 200 cities- Amazing!!! I didn't stay anywhere for longer than 10 days and got to truly see and experience the beautiful world in which we live.

Now, I'm back in the states, and am fairly new to DC so I'm looking to meet folks and maybe find that special someone! :) After such a nomadic existence I'm ready to relax a little and enjoy the simple pleasures that day to day life offers-- of course filling my days with simple pleasures such as music, art, friends, and fun as I'm not one to just sit at home and watch tv- yuck! :)

Like quite a few folks on here, I'm new to this whole approach- but I figure that it won't hurt my odds of meeting a swell guy. Cheers!

Share and listen. Honestly- if I'm on a date with someone, my interest is to get to know them- not to be entertained by a flashy movie or a noisy bar. A hike and a picnic would be nice- laid back and relaxed, or perhaps going to see some live music followed by wine and conversation, a stroll around the Smithsonian... there's so much to do in DC and I have fun doing pretty much anything so it isn't really the itinerary- it's the company.
