I'm kind of a news junkie. I listen to a lot of singer/songwriters and alt rockers. I spend time outside when I can. I'm more of a competitive sports person than a solitary one. In other words, I'd rather play basketball or tennis than run. Sometimes, though, it's hard to find a person to play with, so running and walking win out. Oh, and I love to watch college football.

I lived in Chapel Hill several years ago, but now live east of the Triangle. I'm there on a weekly basis.

I'm kind of tired of the dating routine. I'd like to develop a new friendship or two. My ultimate goal is to meet someone I could call if I broke down on the highway. Right now, I'd just call AAA. I'm primarily interested in meeting someone who's smart and active. If we can have long, interesting conversations about books, movies and what's going on in the world, and go on hikes, that would be great. Even better: A long talk while hiking.
