I like to think I’m intelligent, compassionate, curious, and honest with my self and others. Integrity is a core part of who I strive to be. I love laughter, a sense of wonder, and believe I can talk deep thoughts and also laugh long. I can (and do) laugh at myself. I think its important to be clear and straightforward. I’m healthy, athletic, and fit. I have a passion for nature, knowledge, and travel. My preferred method of travel is to go slow and become engaged in activities in the country I’m in. I have little interest in organized tour groups or cruises. I’ve spent a large part of my life living overseas. I love my profession and work hard but also like to play hard. My mind is always working and is usually creating some writing project or travel plan. Although I do not have my own children I’m open to becoming involved with the children of others. Ideally I would like a long term committed relationship but am open to any variation, including friendship.

A perfect date would not so much be what we did, but the feeling that would happen between us: warmth, humor, comfort, safety, with a twist of excitement. Having said this, the date would involve a walk/hike, a swim in a creek/ocean, watching the sun set, and then having dinner in front of a fire at home or at an old soul filled restaurant with character. Saying good night would be with a slow regret and a hint of future possibilities.
