I'm a health professional who is looking for someone to share some time with. I'm very active, fit, and am often told I look younger than my age (enjoying that while it lasts!). I am comfortable in a suit or shorts, and I like working up a good sweat in the yard making things beautiful. I believe in mutual respect, and I prefer long conversations to staring at a TV.

I would describe myself as the "anti-man." This doesn't mean I'm gay! I'm as red-blooded as the next guy, but have different tastes. I prefer walking or riding bikes in the park to going to a club. I like to hold hands and be affectionate. I enjoy sports but would rather play than watch. NASCAR? What's that again? And although I love me a good steak, I could never kill another creature (well, mammal that is).

I love all kinds of music, from classical to country to jazz. I have over 16, 000 songs on my iPod! My favorite though is rock & pop from the 70's and 80's. I often make bets with co-workers and patients on the names and artists of obscure hits, and I rarely lose! lol...I also have a wicked sense of humor - I can do several imitations and accents, and I think that laughter is often the best medicine. So if you want someone who is sensitive and thoughtful but can keep you in stitches, then take two aspirin and give me a shout.

P.S. I have children on a part-time basis but DO NOT need a step-mom! I am looking for my best friend, lover, and soulmate though. My most recent relationship lasted 2 1/2 years, and it ended because we didn't speak the same Love Language (have you read the book?). I really miss the companionship, and I'm ready to find someone to share my life with. I work in a field where sometimes I have to give very bad news to a person's loved ones, and I've been amazed by the variety of reactions I've seen throughout my career. I can always tell the folks who truly love each other though, and that's what I'm looking for. I know it doesn't happen overnight, but I think I have the tools, wisdom, and experience necessary to build a relationship that will last a lifetime.

I guess what I'm really looking for is the woman against whom I will measure all others. I know you're out there...

Well I'm not so sure there's such a thing as a "blind date" anymore with all the gadgetry at our command lol...After establishing communication here first, if there's an interest then I prefer to talk on the phone at least once to break the ice. Then when we meet we can do something quiet like dinner to continue the conversation.
