About Me
Categorized for your convenience!

The Welcome:
Oh hey. Hello. How are you? I'm good, thanks. Yes, well... I guess the combination of having being unable to sleep and wanting to do more with my free time in this city has caused me to believe that this is a phenomenal idea, so let's just roll with that while the momentum lasts, yes?

The Quick Blurb:
I'm finishing my last year in a Multimedia Design course at Durham College. Conveniently, I enjoy designing and creating things. Interfaces that look pretty and are fun to play with, mainly. My favorite aspects of the course are photography, unique interfaces, and making music videos.

About Music:
My musical tastes and range is ridiculous bordering on absurd (If you consider ridiculous to be a higher level than absurd, feel free to switch the words around and re-read. I'll wait here). No, I'm serious. I'm talking about a day consisting of listening to Great Big Sea, Enya, KMFDM, Stars, Blackalicious, William Shatner, Birthday Massacre, GirlTalk, and the Sailor Moon Soundtrack. We're talking a very wide range. I do not discriminate. I like to think that if ever needed, I have a song for every situation. Music provides amazing amounts of inspiration for me, and has a massive impact on how a person views a situation. If you would like proof of this, play the Benny Hill theme while watching Fight Club.

Short Term Goals:
My goals for December are to be able to swim in the Pacific Ocean, and make a music video for a Major Lazer song.
Long Term Goals:
I hope to get a job somewhere in the media field, be it with web development, film editing, audio production, or some crazy blend. Once I get settled, stable, and pay off the student loan, I'll hopefully be able to go to a freelancing route, and bring in some even more serious dough. In the end though, I just want to be able to make enough money to live comfortably, and go out for a meal with my friends at least once a week.

This Shouldn't Be A New Line, Since It's In Reference To The Last Sentence Above:
That's actually something I've come to enjoy, thinking over my memories of the past six years. A lot of great times have been had just sitting at a table somewhere with a group of friends, drinking some bubble tea, downing some Pho, or savoring some Burrito Boyz. There's a comfort of just hanging out with some people, talking about whatever comes up, and knowing you don't have to clean any pots or pans.

Some Random Things About Me:
- I absolutely adore orange street lights, and feel they are one of humanities most relaxing inventions.
- I have more stuffed animals than a guy my age should have (which I guess most would agree is probably zero), some of which date back to 1992, and I cuddle with them every single night. They provide both warmth and comfort, and I like those things.
- I'm a geek, but I like to think I keep it under control. Sometimes it's fine to discuss my nerdy hobbies, some times it isn't. I know when to keep it to myself.
- I get together with some of my friends from around the country on X-Box every once in a while, and play games online with the goal of being "The friendliest and most well mannered people to ever play Halo". Most people don't know how to react to our good cheer and well wishing.
- I spent a year backpacking around Australia living off my wits. I don't think anyone expected me to make it back (myself included)
- Went Scuba diving, skydiving, and white water rafting all in three days, and would gladly do any of those things again.
- Successfully acquired four tattoos that I've yet to regret
- Survived past 20 (That one caught us all off guard)
- I'm sponsoring a child in Haiti, having chosen him because he looked the most irate out of all the children available.
- I have over 49 days worth of music, not including the CD's I have in BC. I'm in the process of listening to my entire library in order. It's been just shy of a year, and I'm almost through G. Whatever artist you love, I'm confident I can find something similar you'll love as well.
- I love when I can make someone smile. Be it from laughter, or by doing something that makes them happy.
- Hoodies are awesome. I love the comfort of them, and there's something nice about seeing a girl snuggled up in one, and being able to think "Damn, now THAT girl is comfy."

What am I looking for here?
- Someone that can hold a conversation would be great, since this is a site revolving around being social.
- Someone to go to the gym with would be funky.
- Someone I can be in party chat with for Halo or MW2 helps me avoid having to listen to people on Live (If you don't understand this it's not for you, but don't worry about it, it's trivial)
- Someone that can provide inspiration for me. Don't worry about this one, you won't have to do anything different from normal.

Letter from the editor:
The thing I like about this site is that it causes me to take time to sit back and actually think about myself, and what I'm looking for in another. I don't think I ever put much thought into it before. Also, I see no reason why I shouldn't just be totally honest and open, since I don't actually know you at all. If you don't like what you hear, no worries! Nothing is different from the way it was ten minutes ago. If you do, fantastic, things may be better than they would have been if I never did this.

At this point, I don't send many messages to people. It's a mixture of things. Tragically, I would say most of the girls I've seen on here qualify as "Too attractive to be approachable" by their pictures. The only thing to really bypass this is if there's something in your information that gives me something I can talk to you about as a little ice breaker. I'll do what I can, and can at least assure you that any message you get from me is personal, and I probably sat staring at that "send a message" button for five minutes trying to convince myself to do it. If you sent me a message first, I'll have no problem replying. Even if all that amounts from any of this is a few nice conversations, I'm down with that, and hope you are in some way better off from it as well.

I will now mash my face on the keyboard until I reach the word limit. rghhrgre5ghiuju

First Date
I imagine I would start the evening off by accidentally doing something rather embarrassing.
I would quickly smooth talk my way into convincing you that it was done on purpose to break the ice and bring in a level of comfort to the date through the art of self deprecation. You would be suspicious of this claim, but I said it so quickly and confidently, you accept it. I will likely try so hard to be respectful and make sure I don't give off the impression that I'm some creep who is out to get laid (using the internet, of all things!) that I accidentally give you the impression that I'm not at all interested in you. I will walk you to your door, smile, and say something smooth and romantic, like "Well... so long!". As I walk away, I'll think of the most flattering and romantic closing line ever conceived by a mere mortal. I'm serious here. For the evening we had, it would have been perfect, because it would be personal, and hold context to the specific date we had, and some memorable event that occurred.
This is fact.

I may or may not then break into a light jog.

The location and activity will likely vary to cater to your tastes, but I can probably confirm those specific events occurring with a solid 98% vote of confidence.

If we can somehow toss going out for ice cream into the mix, that would be great, as it is a dream of mine to be able to look tough while holding an ice cream cone, and I need to practice whenever I can.
