How to describe myself...that's tough. I guess the best way to describe myself is to say that I have many life experiences that have made me a man who is open-minded, compassionate, passionate, fun-loving, contemplative, tough (on one hand), and emotional (on the other).

I enjoy a woman's company and miss it now that I am alone. I relate well to women and am considerate of their feelings. I have learned this well as a father of many daughters.

I am in the process of an amicable divorce. No drama, no hysterics. If you want to know more about it, please ask. I don't want to have to explain it here. If you don't want to date a separated man, don't be afraid to talk to me. I won't bite or try to trick you. If I was a player do you think I would be honest and say I was separated? BTW, for those of you who have a problem with separated people on dating websites, have you forgotten what it was like to be rejected by the one you loved? The loneliness? The desire for some adult conversation?

I would like to get some things accomplished before, and get ready for, another long-term relationship some day. In the meantime I would be a great supper date and someone to talk to.

That being said, I also know that life has a way of messing with our plans. I'm not ruling out the possibility that I would meet someone who I would love to spend the rest of my life with before I accomplish what I set out to do.

I just want to be careful as I start out dating again. I am gun-shy with women. Just as one of my kind probably hurt you, one of your kind hurt me. Until I can learn to trust women again, I may be hesitant to give myself fully to you.

Hobbies: Didn't have hobbies due to busy schedule, but am always willing to do new things. I want to take up kayaking, fishing, camping and anything else that would be fun. I also enjoy spending time with friends enjoying a new beer and cigar.

Goals: Get out of debt, continue to get physically fit, grow as a person, guide my children as they grow into adults, grow professionally in my occupation.

Musical tastes: I am all over the spectrum when it comes to music, except for rap. If it disappeared tomorrow I wouldn't shed a tear.

Occasional smoker = a cigar once a month or less.

I would love to sit down in a casual restaurant across from a woman and just talk. The waitress would get perturbed at us because we would take so long to decide what we want because we are having such a great conversation. Coffee afterwards and more conversation.
