2 kids from previous marriage.
No, I don't have custody.
Yes, I am fighting for it.

Moreover, it is a long fight for me. So if I'm involved in such a thing why am I out here? Because my ex cannot let go does not mean that my life needs to be lived in Limbo. Love and respect was an important part of my life and I would like to find someone to rekindle those things with.

So this is probably the big thing, any woman I get involved with must be comfortable with the notion, not of becoming a mother, because that is not a role you can audition for, but of her partner - me being a father.

This is not simple, it is not even close, but it is real. And its out there for you to consider.

I'm an academic, working through the final stages of my PhD.

My research takes me to Botswana sometimes.

I bake, mostly breads.

I cook.

I am a hopeless romantic despite my baggage.


I am looking for a smart, lefty girl (or at least leftward leaning) who can make me smile.

First dates are an awkward passing ... the more casual the better in my opinion.

Going out for coffee, while boring, is always easy to swing.

A glass of wine or cider at a cozy pub is similarly cool.
