| | Hi, my name is Gary and I'm here to meet you. I've lived in Raleigh since 1993, when my family and I moved here and I finished High School at Broughton, then went to App. After that, I missed Raleigh so much that I moved back here and bought a house. I really like this area and would like to stay for a while, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't be open to moving someday. Since everyone seems to mention travel, I do enjoy traveling, I just don't do it often enough, so I would welcome someone who likes to travel and am adventurous enough to want to visit many places, both domestically and internationally.
I enjoy doing outdoors types of things, like hiking, climbing, camping, skiing and snowboarding. I prefer a trip to the mountains than to the beach, but when I go to the beach I always enjoy it. When I'm at home, I do home projects. Right now I've got some painting and some landscaping on my to do list. I play 8-ball once a week and enjoy the atmosphere, except for all the smoke. I played ice hockey for 16 years, before I went to college.
I'm looking for someone to be my best friend and for it to lead to a lifetime as partners in crime and everything else. I have been told that I wear my feelings on my sleeves, so you can expect a hug when I meet you. I believe that communication is one of the most important elements of any relationship and I work to improve it all the time. I do enjoy talking and being in contact with the person I'm closest to and I try to listen as much as a guy can ;) (actually I've been told I'm a pretty good listener). I do like to know about the people I'm around, so I will be inquisitive, I hope you will want to know about me, so any question I ask you is free game for me to have to answer, too. I like to be romantic and go out for "fancy" dinners and buy flowers, but that will come if we make it past one or two dates. |
