Hello Hello Hello! My name is Joe.
Well, here's the scoops: I'm an Electrical Engineer and work full time (yes, I can add numbers fairly well.) I am a licensed "Intern Engineer" per New York State and seek to attain my "Professional Engineer" license when I am eligible to do so in a few years. I go to school at night in order to acquire my MBA, which will be completed next summer. At that time, I will begin to pursue a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.

As you can see, I take a lot of pride in my job and education. I'm interested in someone who has goals and shares a similar work ethic.

Buuuuuuuuuuut, despite all the serious stuff above, I do like to have fun. (Once in a while at least! Don't believe me? See some on my pictures.) haha :)

I value honesty, so here are a few honest (and fun) facts about me:
I enjoy dressing nicely either for work or for when I go out, yet have no qualms wearing Levi 505's and a Batman T-shirt. I read science fiction novels, popular science/mechanics magazines, and about physics, yet I love mindless action/sci-fi movies. I played Dungeons and Dragons in college (it was a blast haha,) yet I like going to the gym, playing softball, and attempting golf (my Dad and I are TOTALLY pros at the driving range!)

Hmm, what else...
I like sitting at my desk doing design work or crunching numbers, but I have a reputation for getting hands-on at work and at home. I love getting my hands dirty doing car work, house work, or just fixing stuff (but I HATE holding a flashlight for someone!!!) I find TV to be absurd; it burns out your eyes and melts your brain into goo. But I really enjoy watching the news, The Office, South Park, and reruns of Seinfeld and Star Trek. Music is amazing. I like a broad range of music, but stick mostly to classic rock and early/mid '90s alternative and grunge. Some examples? Van Halen, Gun 'N Roses, Alice in Chains, Tool (the smart man's heavy metal.) I've been trying to get into Steve Vai as of late (his older albums) but I totally prefer Joe Satriani. But I also have a soft spot for The Beatles, Sarah McLachlan, and Ace of Base. hahaha Personality-wise, I tend to be a little quiet and shy. However, I warm up fairly quickly and can be loud and sarcastic, depending on the company.

So in short, I'm well diversified, and one hell of a catch! HAHA! No, I'm not being arrogant, I'm just telling the truth. I'm quite confident in what I have to offer. :-D

As for why I'm on this site: unfortunately, the nature of my job prevents me from "getting out" or even meeting people in my age group. Most of my people I work with are >40.

...and I don't think finding someone in a bar is even remotely realistic.


So what am I looking for? haha

First and foremost, I'd like to meet someone with AT LEAST a bachelors degree in a field that is relevant and practical (no basket weavers, to put it bluntly,) mid to late 20's, and with a little "substance," as far as smarts go.

People with no sense of humor, druggies (yes, that includes pot) and alcoholics needs not respond. And I HATE picture with people doing gang signs and caressing or chugging liquor bottles. Get real. It's TOTALLY not classy and beyond immature.

No brats. And PLEASE have some freakin' manners. Like I said, I like to have my fun, but simple things like saying "please" and "thank you" can really tell a lot about a person.
