About Me
I'm new to Vancouver, and to Canada, having recently moved here from Berkeley, California but I'm originally from Wisconsin. I've been a bit of a travelling botanist, lived in Idaho, Oregon, Washington, California and Egypt. Traveling is key, and I have enjoyed experiencing new places and cultures.
I feel lucky in that I've found things I am passionate about. I just started a graduate program in Botany at UBC; studying seaweeds :) And I am a bluegrass nut, I play the mandolin, and I like seeing it played live as often as possible.
My two favorite emotions are falling in love and getting my heartbroken. The latter might seem a bit odd...but these are both times that you know you really felt something, and to me that is very refreshing.
I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, and hanging out on the beach. Generally, anything out of doors.
