I'm a middle school teacher who loves the Lord and has been a born-again Christian for 37years. For now, my "mission field" is the local school system, but I look forward to being more involved in ministry or short term missions when my time as a teacher comes to a close. I love music, particularly worship music, and I enjoy playing, singing, and composing even though I am far from "accomplished." My sense of humor and love of people is something that just seems to come naturally. I have four wonderful children and three of the most awesome grandkids a person could have. All but one of them live in Lakeland. My 84 year old mom is still healthy and living just a few blocks away. One son who is fighting a serious illness is currently living with me. All of this to say that family is extremely important to me.

I love to travel, but I need a companion to enjoy this beautiful country with me.
I thoroughly enjoy sports -- especially basketball. Perhaps that's because of growing up in Indiana. I love to swim, and I always look forward to the summer breaks from school when you'll find me at the pool every morning around 6:00 a.m.
I enjoy going out for dinner, walking around one of our many lakes, studying the Bible and praying with friends, getting lost in a good book, or anything involving people. I am not one who has to be entertained in order to be happy. Just being together with a person I care about is the most satisfying thing I can imagine.
If you're interested in talking, just get in touch. If we "click, " great; if we don't fall madly in love, we will, at the very least, have made a new friend. It's a win/win situation.

We would decide that together. Dinner in a public place, a church activity, or something as simple as a walk together would be good options.
