Active, spontaneous, thoughtful, fun-loving, outgoing, talkative, man seeks compatible trustworthy, loyal, attractive woman for friendship, companionship, and possible long term relationship. I love to come home to a great woman, and open a bottle of good wine, cook a dinner, share our day. Usually a few nights a week are spent at the gym, playing bb, taking a long walk, or a hike. My time is divided between Alaska and California. I love both places, Alaska especially in the Summer. I love to camp, fish, garden, take landscape pictures, visit friends, old and new. I like to drive and travel.

Living a healthy, mentally and physically stimulating lifestyle is important; use it or lose it. I have been blessed with great health and no serious injuries.

Next years are to be spent developing new relationships, mentoring children, putting money away for the future, achieving some professional goals, and living every day to the fullest. Physically I would like to maintain my health, lose a few pounds, increase my flexibility, maybe do some yoga or martial arts.

Some say I'm a thinker, and thrive on good intellectual conversation or friendly debate. Passionate in belief and conviction I am easily engaged. I don't watch much TV but enjoy Fox News and Fox Business. I also enjoy other shows, just don't get to watch much. Favorite musicians, Neil Young, Foreigner, Journey, Pink Floyd, Cold Play, oldies, new age, I listen to concert echoes on NPR.

Coffee and a walk, perhaps to a mall, or some place we are both comfortable. If we hit it off maybe dinner or lunch. I guess a first date is where we give each other an introduction to "our story" and decide if there is enough in common as far as interest, compatible temperament, personality etc. to warrant spending more time together. I thrive on being in a nature setting around rivers, mountains, sunrises, in the forest, exploring and sharing along the way. I always thought a good dinner date was at a restaurant at least an hour away, to be able to talk and set the mood.
