After being in Scottsdale for a month, I have a much better idea of what I need to write on here. So, lets make it simple...here is my list of what I am NOT looking for out of a guy!
1. I do not want someone who is scattered and has no direction
2. I do not want a guy who just uses women for sex or doesn't care about pursuing more
3. I do not want someone who is immature
4. I do not want someone who has absolutely no education under his belt. Now, education can mean a few different things, and it doesn't always mean formal college. Military, great job experience, or something else where you are learning new things daily obviously counts as education!

With that being said, here are some things that are not negotiable...things that I DEFINITELY want out of someone that I am going to spend time meeting and possibly getting to know...

1. I want someone who is stable and ready for something more than a "hook up." (much to my surprise, many men in their 30s still expect women to just sleep with them with no thought behind it)
2. I want a man who respects women, who has high expectations for himself, and who expects the same in return!
3. I want someone TALL and handsome!
4. I want someone who makes me laugh and who is not opposed to funny, spontaneous things!
5. I want someone who is not afraid to be an open book (can talk about anything!)
6. Oh, and someone who can cook would just be icing on the cake!
(also, i was advised against saying this, but i am generally more attracted to black men. i am still open to dating anyone, however, so please email if you would like!)

I am a very intelligent, driven, passionate, and caring person! My background is in education, as I taught 8th grade science for 7 years before moving to AZ from Ohio. I am originally from Indiana, though, and NOT an OSU fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love to laugh about stupid things as well as have deep conversations, and anything in between! A first date? Well, truly, I hate the idea of dating, in general, because it is so superficial. However, there really is no other way to get to know someone. Since basketball season is coming up, I would love to meet someone out, have a few beers, watch college ball (yes, you have to be willing to watch Purdue with me, if there is any place around here that airs the big ten games), and just laugh. A first date needs to be conducive to conversation, but not so serious that it is awkward!
