I moved to CA from MI in late Oct. of 2008. I have enjoyed my time here so far, although there have been some trying times. I moved for a job, which in this economic climate, is a good enough reason. I don't have alot of free time to meet people so I thought I would give this a shot. So here is a little bit about me... I tend to abbreviate everyones name when I talk to them, which drives some of my friends nuts. I love to talk to anyone who has anything intelligent to say. I hate immaturity. I hate bigots. I suck at talking on the phone but will text all day. I love my family to death but almost never get to see them or talk to them. I spent 8 years in the marine corp reserves. I have been to almost all 50 states and several countries. I enjoy tearing things apart to see how they work, even when I can't put them back together again. I think when the going gets rough the only thing you can do is laugh. I hate ignorance. My biggest pet peeve is stupid people who talk before they think. I am usually shy, but warm up quickly. I sometimes people watch. I love history. My humor is mostly sarcastic and sometimes obsence. I was divorced in 2006, and no I am not bitter about it. I sometimes get so focused on something that I forget everything else. Including eating and sleeping. Between my naturally tendancies and my job the hours I keep are very strange. The last sentance was an extreme understatement. I love my friends to excess. I think blood is not the only thing that makes you family. I belive that life is 98% gray area, and if you can't see that, then there is no hope for you. I can be a perfectionist at times. But only when it concerns myself. I seem to be able to accept flaws in other people, in fact I belive thats what makes people interesting, but I am totally unable to accept the fact that I have flaws as well. Just to clarify, I know I have flaws, and I know I always will, but the idea of just accepting that and not trying to do anything about it is not an option for me. I tend to see everything I do as a reflection of myself. For example: if I do something and it's half ass'ed and shoddy, I see that as a direct reflection of my personality, lifestyle, habits, ethics. I also have small random moments of slight OCD. For instance, I will start cleaning the house and end up spending 8-10 hours cleaning the bathroom. But boy by the time I am done the pope could eat off of the toilet rim and be happy doing it! Does that make me weird? yea, it probably does, but hey it also makes me interesting! I love rock & metal music, although I grew up country. Often times people mistake my look of concentration or thought, as being pissed off about something. I smile easily. I swear, I do. I love live music, especially underground bands at small clubs. I used to play the drum's. I suck at playing the drum's now. I love skin diving, and hope to eventually learn to SCUBA dive. I really want to learn to surf, even if it does scare me a little. My friends say that I am loyal, honest, intelligent, humorus, easygoing, introverted, hard working, compassionate to a fault, and something of an emotional masochist.
