Glad you dropped by, and I hope you're enjoying plenty of fish. I just hope I won't come across as too fishy in my lame attempts at humor. Too late. About me - I am back in San Diego in a sort of homecoming. I was born in Escondido but moved to Oregon when I was 7, and went to college and grad school in Portland. I worked first in Biology then got my master's in Computer Science and I now work as an internet application developer. Over a year and a half ago I decided I needed to shake things up in my life a bit, and I wanted to live in a totally new place where I could be outdoors a lot more often, so I came back down to San Diego and live near the ocean now in La Jolla. I have a great job I love that I work remotely ... dealing with traffic commutes is something I have always tried to avoid in life, and now I have the ideal situation. I will often finish work and go straight to my bike for a refreshing spin around Mt Soledad or grab my kayak and head out to Mission Bay or La Jolla Shores. Or just walk or jog along the beach at sunset. I also enjoy Balboa Park and am always game for a new exhibit, or just hanging out in the coffee shop ( I've already become a regular at a couple of coffee shops ) and slipping into a good book.
I love film as well... I have a hard time picking favorites but off the top of my head I would have to say Pulp Fiction, Glen Glenn Ross, When Harry Met Sally ( I don't discriminate by genre, a good film is a good film ), Raiders of the Lost Ark, Sin City....

Travel is also a great interest of mine. It started in college when I spent 6 months in Kenya in an overseas study program. Since then I have been to Thailand, Japan, the Bahamas, Cancun, Denmark and I am getting ready for a trip to Costa Rica. One thing I really believe in is that curiosity and a love of learning and experiencing new people, places and thing is a core part of life.
