I'm Daniel, living in Iowa City, working in merchandising, plus photography on the side. I am also a prolific writer, as my profile here might suggest. Description is accurate, I'm just under 6', good health thanks to a job that has me on my feet, and because I do try to take care of myself. I spend my days in IC trying to make a better life for myself. I have a budding career in photography, which never feels like a job because I enjoy it a lot. In my free time, I enjoy just about anything, watching movies, dining out, working out by biking or running, especially in places I have not been. I love many types of music, especially rock, alternative, and some country. If you enjoy music, I'd be happy to talk about, and share some of our favorites. I love to travel, and would rather be camping, or staying somewhere but home. If you have something you enjoy, I'll probably like it just as much, I hate doing the same routine day after day.

My personality could be said as being "laid back", but really I am very determined, and know what I want or need in life, and work hard to achieve goals set by myself. I am a little witty, maybe sometimes sarcastic, but I am very mellow and tend to make others feel better when I'm around. At least I try by best, anyway! I don't spend time at the bars in IC trying to pick up girls, I believe you can find great people who want a good time off of this site. It worked well for me years before, so I do put a little more effort into my profile here.

I am here to find someone who is looking for someone to hang out with, and try the whole dating thing, just like I am. If things work out, I'm looking for someone to spend my life with, but lets take one step at a time before worrying about that. You can't win someone over simply by a profile, but I hope I can make a good first impression. If you want the chance to meet someone refreshing, who thinks of others before himself, and are wishing to pursue friendship and happiness in life, you are looking at the right guy.
