There are a lot of things I enjoy doing and I know I'll never be able to cover them all, but here goes.

I've always loved performance vehicles. I'm currently working on restoring a couple of mid-sixties muscle cars (as my finances allow) and have always enjoyed going to things like the Dream Cruise and really loved the Mid-American Shelby Meet in Tulsa.

I've always enjoyed most types of music and going to concerts and other live venues. Rock music is my music of choice but also enjoy the blues (like Bryan Lee and Tab Benoit) and some country acts. I used to do some college radio so I've got a wide range of groups that I have been exposed to and enjoy, but I'd have to say my preferences are groups like Pink Floyd, Genesis, and Steely Dan just to name a few.

I've also enjoy sports, both playing (mostly golf now) and watching (Michigan football & Red Wings). I also enjoy snow skiing (both downhill and X-country) but haven't been in a while, same thing with bike riding (trails and roads). I also work out quite frequently at the gym near my house although I took some time off and now I'm trying to get back into shape.

I've always been enamored with nature, watching sunsets over Lake Michigan, watching the Northern Lights in the UP, or hiking through the woods in northern or western Michigan. That has spilled over into my enjoyment of working on landscaping projects and planting new trees and shrubs around my property.

As for my personality traits, I am generally quite outgoing and friendly. Where I grew up at it wasn't uncommon to initiate conversation with strangers (which, at times here in Metro Detroit can be quite humorous watching their reactions). Obviously, I have a quirky dry sense of humor and tend to clown around at times, however, I can be quiet and an attentive listener if needed.

I just hope that I can find that one special someone that wants to be beside me, not to lead or follow, but be at my side. A lady that when I look into her eyes, that I can be lost for days. That when I think of her or hear her voice, a smile will come to my face. When I feel her touch, that I'll get that body rush of excitment and joy. And to topping it off, knowing that she feels the same way about me. As you can tell, I'm a hopeless romantic and there's nothing better than seeing that special someone smile and knowing you put it there.

For a first date, I would start off with going to a quiet restaurant where we could talk and learn more about each other, our likes and dislikes, and see how well we interact with each other. Following dinner, maybe go to a venue for some type of entertainment, be it a movie, a concert, a sporting event, or just stay at the restaurant and talk. In essence, I would want to have something that we'd both enjoy doing, and especially, being in each other's company.
